Old Alresford Parish Assembly - Tuesday, April 25th

A date for your diary is the annual opportunity to hear the Chair’s report on the Parish Council’s year, together with other reports from City and County Councillors.

All parishioners are very welcome to attend this annual event and to raise questions and comment on Parish matters.

This year we will have a guest speaker, Russell Gordon-Smith, one of our Winchester City Councillors, who will talk about the French prisoners of Alresford. You may have seen the headstones in St John’s churchyard, or heard about them being held in the crypt at The Swan. Come along and learn more about this fascinating episode in our history!

The APA starts at 7:45pm in the Christy Hall, with wine and nibbles available in the Bernard Clarke Room from 7.30pm.
